These barrels are the most eco-friendly barrels you can buy.  They’re made from re-purposed food barrels. All funds raised support our free programming. Collecting rainwater to use in our gardens not only helps conserve, it also protects our lakes and streams from damaging storm water runoff.
It also means pouring less money down the drain to water flowers and other garden plants!

Next Art Barrel Auction is in 2013:

In 2011, we held our first Rain Barrel Art Auction.  To highlight the issue of water conservation, Earth Day Hamilton-Burlington in partnership with RainBarrel.ca invited local artists, schools, creative individuals and organizations to create barrels to auction.  22 beautiful barrels were painted and participating artists received 50% of the funds raised with a portion of the balance going to Earth Day Hamilton-Burlington, helping to support our free educational eco-festival and our tree planting programs.  To see these wonderful barrels click here.
